Our values
Science of the people, for the people.
Our mission – Advancement of Science
Maecenium is a Houston non-profit organization 501(c)3 dedicated to advancing scientific research. Our mission is to support and promote the pursuit of knowledge and innovation in various fields of natural and social science, including but not limited to biology, personalized medicine, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, and history. We believe that scientific research plays a crucial role in solving complex problems, improving lives, and shaping the future of humanity.
Bringing People Together, Maecenas and Scientists
At Maecenium, we understand that scientific research is a complex and challenging process. It requires not only brilliant ideas but also resources, funding, and a supportive environment. That’s why we work tirelessly to provide scientists and researchers with the support they need to turn their ideas into reality.
Through our various initiatives and programs, we strive to create an environment that fosters innovation and collaboration between Scientists and Maecenas.
Announcement for May: first grants, first volunteers and first project proposals
We want to publicly say “Thank You!” to Google, Techsoup, Lenovo and Dell for providing support. It means a lot us as encouragement to continue growing.
The first volunteers have joined us, and we want to welcome them to our team!
If you want to learn more about remote volunteering options that we offer, check our blog. It’s an excellent starting point to become recognized and to learn from more experienced colleagues.
Finally the projects. We have received multiple project proposals, and so far there are two promising and well-thought scientific concepts we would like to see supported.
